Strong December Performance Drives Growth

This performance highlights Toyota’s balanced growth strategy across the Indian and global markets.

Popular Models Fuel Toyota’s 2025 Success

Demand remained strong across SUVs, MPVs, and compact cars, with key contributors including:

  • Innova Hycross
  • Fortuner
  • Urban Cruiser Hyryder
  • Hilux
  • Glanza
  • Urban Cruiser Taisor

The launch of new variants and special editions—such as the Land Cruiser 300, GR-S grade, Legender MT, and multiple limited editions—helped sustain customer interest throughout the year.

Focus on Safety and Product Enhancements

In 2025, Toyota reinforced its safety-first approach by standardising six airbags across several models. The Innova Hycross achieved a 5-star Bharat NCAP safety rating, strengthening Toyota’s safety credentials.

Additional enhancements included:

  • A 6-speed automatic transmission for the AWD variant of the Urban Cruiser Hyryder
  • Introduction of an electronic parking brake on select Hyryder variants

Expanding Customer Experience and Brand Engagement

Beyond vehicle sales, Toyota expanded its used-car network and introduced value-added services such as T CARE and T GLOSS to improve the ownership experience.

The company also increased youth-focused brand engagement through experiential initiatives like the Toyota Experiential Museum (tem) and collaborations at anime conventions across India.

Toyota’s Outlook for 2026

Commenting on the milestone, Varinder Wadhwa, Vice-President, Sales-Service-Used Car Business and Profit Enhancement, said the growth reflects rising customer acceptance of Toyota’s products and services, supported by strategic product actions and an expanding dealer network.

Looking ahead to 2026, Toyota plans to:

  • Strengthen its product portfolio
  • Enhance customer touchpoints
  • Drive innovative brand engagement
  • Continue its multi-pathway approach to decarbonisation and sustainable growth in India
