Maruti Suzuki has officially announced that its upcoming e Vitara electric SUV will be capable of travelling from Delhi to Chandigarh on a single charge, thanks to its ARAI-certified range of 543 km offered by the larger battery variant. The EV made its India debut at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, marking a significant milestone in the brand’s electric mobility journey.
EV-Ready Infrastructure Across India
The company revealed that its nationwide network is already equipped for the EV transition. Maruti Suzuki has upgraded showrooms and service centres, and trained over 1,50,000 employees in electric vehicle operations to ensure seamless customer support. The e Vitara will also be available with flexible ownership models, including Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS), subscription plans, and assured buyback options.
Made in India, Exported Globally
Positioned as a global electric SUV, the e Vitara is manufactured in India and exported to over 100 countries. Exports officially began on September 1 from the Pipavav Port in Gujarat, with more than 2,900 units shipped in August to 12 major European markets such as the UK, Germany, France, Denmark, Norway, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Sweden, Hungary, Iceland, Austria and Belgium.
Dimensions & Powertrain Options
The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara measures 4,275 mm (L), 1,800 mm (W) and 1,640 mm (H) with a 2,700 mm wheelbase. It features a compact 3-in-1 electric drive system integrating the motor, inverter and transmission.
Customers can choose from two battery configurations:

- 61 kWh battery

- 174 hp, 189 Nm
A future AWD variant paired with the larger battery will add a 65 hp rear motor, delivering a combined 184 hp and 300 Nm, with a likely real-world range of over 500 km.
